John Barbic is Boulder Technology's Presentation Layer Architect with responsibility for technical design and management of all user-facing UI components.

John has more than sixteen years experience in a wide range of full lifecycle web, client-server, and mainframe application development initiatives.  He possesses expertise in a broad spectrum of software technologies including ColdFusion, Java/J2EE, OpenLaszlo, XML, MS SQL Server, and Oracle.  John also holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Stetson University.

Prior to helping found Boulder Technology, John served as a Senior Software Architect at TravelCLICK, Inc., a leading provider of reservation processing, data analysis, and digital marketing services to the worldwide hotel industry.  At TravelCLICK, John was the technical lead for numerous mission-critical client-facing systems initiatives as well as several internal business applications.  John joined TravelCLICK as a result of its acquisition of Bidtripper.com, where he had been serving in a similar capacity with architectural responsibilty for the company's online auction and retailing technologies.

Bidtripper recruited John from Phoenix International, a $140M supplier of client-server and Internet banking solutions to international and U.S.-based community banks.  John served for five years at Phoenix International as the principal architect of its International Banking System.  He also served as lead software designer for the company's general ledger, corporate budgeting, and executive information (EIS) applications.

Early in his career John accumulated numerous years experience in the finance and banking software industries.
